Back to our list of when reviewers get it wrong with a really fun title (and the final game) from Bizarre Creations and that is James Bond 007: Blood Stone.
Released in 2010 for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC (and also a Nintendo DS version), this third-person shooter has its own story not based on any Bond movie. You play as Bond (of course), with Daniel Craig’s likeness and voice, as you battle through various exotic locations around the world to foil an international bio-terrorist plot.
The third-person shooting is nicely broken up with exhilarating driving sections and a well-done melee mechanic, which awards you with “Focus Aim” shots. It’s a great feeling to run into a room, disarm one bad guy then immediately turn and take the others out all in one fluid movement.
On top of everything, there are some amazing set pieces and the whole game is punctuated with that signature Bond music. It all goes together to make you feel like you’re really James Bond – the most important thing in any Bond game.
So, if you’re a fan of Bond or just great third-person shooters, then give this one a chance.
